Undergoing treatment for a serious illness and your doctor isn’t in the Aetna® network? We may be able to help.
A Transition of Care (TOC) program is available for members receiving ongoing complex medical care (for certain medical and behavioral health conditions) who are transitioning to a new healthcare company during the new hire period or annual enrollment (for example, moving from Cigna or Kaiser to Aetna). A transition of care can include in-network reimbursement of doctors and facilities that are not in the network of your new healthcare company (for a limited time).
To make a TOC request you (and your treating provider) will need to complete a TOC form. For those transitioning to Aetna effective January 1, call Aetna in November or early December to discuss eligibility for the TOC process and to obtain necessary forms. Learn more about the process by viewing the TOC FAQs at the beginning of the TOC form.

You’ll need to transition to a doctor in the Aetna network before your transition period ends. To do this:
1. Visit the Aetna provider search to find a new doctor or specialist in the Aetna network.
2. Make an appointment to get to know your new doctor.

When you enroll in the JPMorganChase U.S. Medical Plan Option 1 or Option 2 plan through Aetna, you will automatically be set up with a Medical Reimbursement Account (MRA). JPMorganChase contributes money to your MRA when you, as the JPMorganChase employee, participate in certain wellness activities each year. You can use your MRA to help pay for eligible out-of-pocket medical and prescription drug expenses (deductibles, coinsurance and copayments). If you have any unused dollars in your MRA at the end of the year, they will carry over to the next year as long as you remain employed with JPMorganChase and enrolled in the JPMC Medical Plan. The money in your MRA is tax-free.
As a JPMorganChase employee, you have the opportunity to earn up to $700 in your MRA by completing wellness activities between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026.
You also have the option to enroll in one or both spending accounts, allowing you to contribute and spend funds tax-free:
- Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) — A Health Care Spending Account (HCSA), also known as a Flexible Spending Account, allows you to set aside pretax money to help cover qualified out-of-pocket medical and prescription drug expenses after your MRA funds are used. It can also be used for qualified out-of-pocket dental and vision expenses.
- Dependent Care Spending Account (DCSA) — A Dependent Care Spending Account (DCSA) allows you to set aside pretax money to help pay for eligible dependent care services, such as preschool, summer day camp, before- or after-school programs, and child or adult day care.
You can manage your MRA, HCSA and/or DCSA through Aetna/Inspira. Once you're a member, simply log in to the Aetna website and look for the "Manage in Inspira" link under your MRA and Spending Accounts section.
You can also download the Inspira Mobile app to manage your Inspira account on the go. With the Inspira Mobile app, you can access your account anytime, anywhere. It gives you the info you need, when you need it.
You will be able to:
- Check to see if an expense is eligible by using the app to scan a barcode, in-store or anywhere else.
- View your balance.
- File a claim by taking a picture of your itemized receipt, statement or Explanation of Benefits and submit.
If you have any questions about your medical reimbursement and spending accounts, call Inspira Financial at 1-888-678-8242 (TTY: 711) Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 10 PM ET and Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM ET.
Important notes:
During annual benefits enrollment, you will be able to choose between the payment option of Automatic Claim Payment or a debit card to pay claims from your MRA and HCSA. When you choose Automatic Claim Payment, funds from your MRA and then HCSA (if you have one) are automatically used to pay your portion of medical care and prescription expenses until funds run out. Automatic verification takes place to confirm the expense is eligible. With the debit card, you have the flexibility to choose when you want to use your MRA and HCSA funds. If you enroll in the debit card option, you will be encouraged to keep your receipts in the event you need to substantiate past payments. The debit card feature works best for people who want to be in complete control of the money in their accounts. The debit card option is also best if you receive assistance with the cost of your prescriptions by using a manufacturer discount card or through a government assistance program.
To learn more, go to My Health > 2026 Benefit Resources > MRA HCSA and Payment Options.
If you're unable to participate in any of the incentive program events, activities or goals due to a medical condition or other reason, you may be entitled to a reasonable accommodation for participation or an alternative standard for rewards. Please contact Aetna if you have questions or require assistance.
Some cities and municipalities may impose income taxes on MRAs or FSAs. For detailed information, please contact your local department of taxation.
